Why does the machining center chatter during boring?

The most common failure of CNC machining center is chatter. I believe many people are troubled by this problem.

The main reasons are the following:
1. The rigidity of CNC machining center, including the rigidity of the tool holder, boring head and the intermediate connection part. Because it is cantilever machining, especially when machining hard workpieces such as small holes and deep holes, rigidity is very important
2. Dynamic balance and rotation axis, if the thing itself has unbalanced mass, the effect of unbalanced centrifugal force during rotation will cause the flutter to occur. Especially during high-speed processing, the impact will be the greatest.
3. The fixed rigidity of the workpiece, such as some small and thin workpieces, due to their lack of rigidity or the shape of the workpiece, cannot be adequately fixed with a reasonable jig.
4. The blade tip shape or blade shape, rake angle, entering angle, tip radius, chip breaker shape will all lead to different cutting resistance.
5. The selection of cutting parameters includes cutting speed, feed, feed amount and cooling method
6. The spindle system of the CNC machining center. The rigidity of the machine spindle itself, the functions of the bearings and gears, and the rigidity of the connection between the spindle and the tool holder.
